About Our Meetings
Wharton County Historical Commission meets on the fourth Monday of the month (except July and November-January) at 6:30 p.m., usually at Wharton County Historical Museum, on Richmond Road in Wharton. The museum flooded during Hurricane Harvey and was closed from August 2017 until June 2021. On Thursday, June 17, a grand reopening will welcome the public back to the museum and its partner, the 20th Century Technology Museum.
